Insomnia. One disadvantage of sleeping until noon is the inability to sleep the next night. Yesterday, I slept until noon, an excellent sleep, but now I’m not sleepy, and it’s the middle of the night. I’ve already had my tea that helped but still not able to fall asleep. Maybe watching an episode of Perry Mason will help me sleep.
Insomnia is a frequent affliction I have had for the last 2 or 3 decades of my life. Learning how to deal with insomnia has been a challenge for me over the years. My doctor prescribed sleeping pills for me, and I take quite a high dose. Sometimes the sleeping pills do not help, and I lay awake in bed until finally get up at around 5:30 or 6:00 in the morning.
Last night was another night that I couldn’t go to sleep. I may have slept for 2 or 3 hours between 3:00 and 5:00. Not a restful sleep, because I had very active dreams. The dreams were somewhat troubling to me and left me with an uneasy feeling in the morning. I have had intense nightmares for the last 2 or 3 nights.
Today, I spent most of the day working on my website. I am becoming absorbed by correcting my previous posts and learning how bad I am at punctuation and grammar. I am using a program called Grammarly to help me with my writing. It is a very intuitive program and helps me quite a lot. It even warns me when I am using passive voice one thing that search engines dislike reading.
Fatigued by Insomnia
I am fatigued tonight, so I think I will sleep well. Today has been a good day even knowing that I didn’t sleep well last night. I have a lot of things I need to get done tomorrow, so I hope I sleep well tonight and wake up refreshed in the morning.
