Days go by so fast

Have you ever noticed how the days go by so fast? The older I get, the quicker the time goes by. When you are young, preteen or teenager days are long, and weeks are longer. As a baby or a newborn, a day equals a lifetime. When you are a teenager, a day can be forever. So much more if you are waiting for something special to happen.

Days go by so fast
Growing Old

When you get to be my age days are short, they are equivalent to a few minutes. What I am trying to express is that time applies to the time that you have been alive on this earth. Days go by and years go by. The next thing you know you’re having another birthday or its Christmas again.

Even the nights go by fast you go to bed and the next thing you know you’re waking up early in the morning. Sleep can sometimes be elusive. Resting during sleep can even be more elusive. Waking up at the slightest noise or unexpected movement is the new norm.

When I was a teenager, I could fall asleep fast. When I was sleeping, it was very difficult for me to wake up. I used to like to sleep many hours a day. I’d like to go to bed at 10:30 or 11:00 o’clock and sleep the Clock around. Not so anymore. I seem to fall asleep but often wake up during the middle of the night for the call of nature. This waking up is natural for me I have been doing it for a good part of my adult life.

This post is not what I intended to write today, but these are the thoughts, days go by so fast, that came to my mind when I started my dictation.
