Eyes Wide Shut
I recently watched an old movie called Eyes Wide Shut. On one of the alternate news channels that I watch on YouTube, the host made a big deal about the movie and its portrayal of a satanic mass. The movie starred Nicole Kidman and Tom cruise.
I watched the entire movie and was totally immersed in it. The movie was very engaging and very interesting to watch. In the news article I read, they explained that the satanic emphasis of the movie was biased. Like I said, I found the movie interesting, but I did not find it evil even though it had several scenes of soft pornography. To me, the movie and the satanic mass was just an excuse to portray an orgy of rich people.
Eyes Wide Shut is a 1999 erotic mystery psychological drama film directed, produced, and partially written by Stanley Kubrick. Based on the 1926 novella Traumnovelle (Dream Story) by Arthur Schnitzler, they transferred the story from early 20th-century Vienna to 1990s New York City. The film follows the sexually charged adventures of Dr. Bill Harford, who is shocked when his wife, Alice, reveals that she had contemplated having an affair a year earlier. He embarks on a night-long adventure, during which he infiltrates a massive masked orgy of an unnamed secret society.Wikipedia
It’s been a long time since I’ve made a post about a movie or a TV show that I’ve watched and enjoyed. That doesn’t mean that I haven’t watched movies and enjoy them, it just means that I’m a little lazy with writing up my thoughts about what I just viewed. I have a new service available to me that let’s me watch movies that may be found nowhere else on the Internet unless you rent them or buy them.
If you have seen this movie eyes wide shut, please leave a comment to let me know what you thought about the movie. I know it’s ancient as they produced it in 1999, but that is a good thing ’cause it shows Tom Cruise and the Nicole Kidman when they were much younger. I think the last movie I posted about was Journey to the Center of the Earth on March 7, 2019. Thanks for reading.
